Our partners offer this tour for you to see some of Belize’s most spectacular Mayan sites. We take you there in comfortable transport. Park entry fees not included. Guides are available,  if desired, at the sites.

Xunantunich Mayan ruins are located just to the west of St Ignacio in the Cayo District and is located atop a ridge above the Mopan River, well within sight of the Guatemala border – which is a mere 1 kilometer to the west.

Xunantunich served as a Maya civic ceremonial center in the Late and Terminal Classic periods to the Belize Valley region. At this time, when the region was at its peak, nearly 200,000 people lived in Belize

The largest pyramid, El Castillo, rises 130 feet above the main plaza and offers an impressive Panoramic View of the Belize’s Cayo District and nearby Guatemala.

On this tour we take you from Hopkins along the Southern Highway through the hundreds of acres of citrus plantations and up the famous Hummingbird highway that winds through the Mayan mountains and offers some amazing views of jungle, mountains, rivers, and valleys. The tour then goes past the Capital City Belmopan and then down the western highway to St Ignacio where the Mayan site is located.

The drive takes approximately 90 mins and it is quite a spectacular ride through Belize’s stunning countryside, villages and towns.
