Funky Dodo Hostel: Welcome! Wilkommen! Witamy! Bienvenido! The Funky Dodo Backpackers Hostel is located right in center of the original Garifuna village of Hopkins on the Caribbean coast of Belize.

We are so much more than “just” a hostel. Check us out, you will be surprised! 

We welcome people from all over the world, of every age! Offering comfortable budget accommodation in our 16 bed dormitory (two rooms with eight bunk beds each) with full size single bunk beds; and 10 private rooms that accommodate from 1 to 4 people with either shared or private bathrooms.

The dormitory has been designed to meet your every need: –lower bunks have privacy curtains, every bed has a reading light and a shelf with outlets for your electronics. Our TreeTop rooms offer all the privacy and comfort of any hotel. Our larger rooms are perfect for families. We have a communal kitchen for all our guests to use, and the best WiFi. There is someone on the property 24/7, so anytime you have a question or need anything, there is someone here to help you.

On a motorcycle or bicycle tour? The Funky Dodo has secure, roofed parking inside our compound, and an overnight security guard.
